Did a little bit of mudlarking over the weekend. Best place to look is by the Millennium Bridge, by St. Pauls cathedral. The shore is littered with clay pipes and old terracotta roof tiles. But you can also find little bits of broken glazed plates plates and mugs. And old bones.
I’m always on the lookout for the patterned bowls of a clay pipe. I only found one (which was broken), but I also found a couple of nice, simple looking old ones, with a plain pattern around the top.
Yeah, don’t mind me, cat. I was just trying to draw… Sigh.
Mother Theresa just popped round for a cup of tea.
This week’s job: 200-odd illustrations for Julius Zebra! Woohoo!
Staying up late writing a jolly scene where Julius Zebra and his mates dress up as Ancient Gauls.
Coming to Comica Comiket on Saturday? Then I’ll have all your Gary’s Garden needs! @phoenixcomicuk
Was chatting to @alexmilway in the pub about triplanes, only to find when I came home that my model Triplane had dropped from the ceiling and my dog had sat on it. Sad face :(
Trying out some front cover lettering.
If you are fortunate enough to be near the Story Museum in Oxford, you’ll find my lovely new book on sale ALREADY!!!!!
